House of Friendship
Celebrating the local charities and community groups joining us at the Rotary Ireland District Conference 2026 in Cork.
Meet our House of Friendship partners
Each year, the District Conference’s House of Friendship gives a stage to local charities and community groups doing remarkable work across Cork and beyond. Take a moment to meet the organisations joining us this year.
Attridge Academy of Irish Dance
Attridge Academy of Irish Dance was founded in 1948 by Nancy Attridge and is proudly based in Cork City. As a non-competitive dancing group, it celebrates friendship, culture, tradition and Irish heritage, creating a welcoming environment where dancers of all ages can enjoy the art of Irish dancing.
Today, Nancy’s daughter Niamhmarie continues her mother’s legacy, teaching in primary schools across Cork City and sharing Irish dance and culture with the next generation. Over the years, the Academy has travelled to many countries, representing Ireland at International Folk Dance Festivals, and shares its passion for dance at weddings, corporate events, community events and nursing homes across the region.
