CLONMEL, 27 May 2026 — The Rotary Club of Clonmel has presented a cheque for €1,000 to the Clonmel Community Youth Project to support the range of programmes it runs for young people across the town.
The Clonmel Rotary Community Youth Project donation was handed over by club President Richie Molloy, with Rotarian Tadg Browne also in attendance. They were joined by Youth Project representatives Leo Norris, Ryan Lee Blake, Mark Hickey, Niamh Farrell and Paddy Sweetman.
Backing youth work in South Tipperary
The Clonmel Community Youth Project delivers after-school support, personal development workshops and recreational activities for young people across Clonmel and the surrounding area. It works with dozens of young people each week, offering a safe space and structured programmes that build confidence, skills and friendships.
The Rotary donation will go towards running costs for the project’s drop-in programmes and its summer activities schedule, helping to keep services accessible throughout the year.
Supporting young people is a long-standing priority for Rotary International and its member clubs. In Ireland, Rotary supports youth development through its Interact and Rotaract programmes for younger members.

The Clonmel Rotary club meets regularly and is involved in a range of community service initiatives across South Tipperary. It is one of 66 Rotary clubs across District 1160, the only Rotary district that spans the whole island of Ireland.
