KILLARNEY, Friday 1 May 2026 — The Rotary Club of Killarney has distributed €21,000 raised through its annual Wine and Art Night to a wide range of schools, sports clubs and charities across Kerry, marking the club’s largest annual fundraiser of the year.
Cheques were presented at a celebratory luncheon hosted at the Great Southern Killarney on Wednesday 22 April, attended by beneficiaries, sponsors and partners. The Killarney Wine and Art Night is one of the longest-running community fundraisers run by one of our 66 clubs across Ireland.
Where the money is going
Schools benefiting from this year’s proceeds include Faha, Fossa, Gael Scoil Faithleann, Knockanes, Loughquittane and St Brendan’s College, Killarney. Community and charity beneficiaries include Kerry Hospice, Kerry Stars, Killarney Athletic AFC, Killarney Valley Athletic Club, Killorglin Family Resource Centre and the Rise & Shine Trust (formerly the Irish Pilgrimage Trust).
A significant portion of the total was raised through an art auction, with local artists and crafters donating 100% of the proceeds from their work to the fund.

Partners and sponsors recognised
The club acknowledged the continued support of its main partner, Daly’s SuperValu Killarney, whose contribution of wine and cheese remains a highlight of the evening, alongside ongoing sponsorship from Killarney Credit Union. The Great Southern Killarney and the Scally Hotel Collection were thanked for their hospitality and for providing the Grand Door Prize, won by an attendee from Barraduff. Kerry’s own Cronin’s Cider joined as a new contributor this year.
President O’Callaghan praised the hands-on involvement of the beneficiary groups, who worked alongside Rotary members to manage the night.
Wine and Art Night 2026
The club has confirmed a provisional date of Wednesday 25 November 2026 for the 25th annual Wine and Art Night, which will once again feature a showcase of local art and crafts alongside the popular wine and cheese reception. Organisers are encouraging artists, sponsors and community groups to mark the date in their diaries early, with venue and ticket details to follow closer to the event.
