NAVAN, Friday 15 May 2026 — The Rotary Club of Navan has been honoured by Willow Domestic Abuse Services on Go Purple Day, with President Alan and President Elect Geraldine accepting an award in recognition of the club’s sustained support for survivors of domestic abuse across County Meath.
The presentation marked Go Purple Day, the annual awareness campaign that turns workplaces, schools and community groups purple to stand with those affected by domestic abuse. Willow, based in Navan, provides frontline support, refuge referrals and outreach services to women and families across the region.
Years of practical support
The award recognises a partnership built over several years, with the Rotary Club of Navan contributing fundraising, awareness-raising and volunteer hours to Willow’s work. It is one of 66 clubs across the island of Ireland running local service projects tied to national causes.
Domestic abuse remains one of the most under-reported issues in Irish society, and frontline services like Willow rely heavily on community partners to extend their reach beyond core funding.
